| EvolutionistsIt's amazing to me how closed minded evolutionists are today. God gave me the opportunity this week to debate with a few evolutionist (mainly two in particular). They are about my age, but had very interesting things to say. It seems God has been preparing my heart to stand up to this. I love looking into evolution vs. creation and the answer is clear. We have an almighty God and Creator, who loves us deeply and sacrificed himself for us.
I pray for the two evolutionists (they are also atheists), Aaron and Nick. I pray that they might see just how much God loves them.
If you are interested in what was said in our debate, click here. I know it's long. It's been going on for a while. I decided to stop commenting, because it was not a battle worth dieing on.

| AcceptanceI've noticed that throughout most of the human population, Christian and non-Christian alike, whether they sin greatly or little, all have at least one thing in common. They need to feel accepted. Loved. Needed. Now, most people go about this the wrong way, thus why we have so many sexually active teens and what not. It's so they feel accepted. At least for the girls, whether they are looking for it from the guys or a child they want to conceive. Men also need to feel accepted, in different ways of course. Even the most evilest of people want to feel accepted. But, I see most people are just reaching out, wanting acceptance. However, they fail to see the one who already loves them to no end. Who accepts them for who they are. You don't need a guy to love you, you don't even need a child to love you. If you want to feel loved, don't go for a kid, they will hate you most of the time. Guys will leave you. I know I'm mainly talking about girls, but they are more emotional in this area. I see it as guys want to feel loved too, but most just want the physical. But, God loves you more than any human. You don't have to look to carnal things to satisfy that hunger. God loves you so much He sent Jesus to die for you so you don't have to go to Hell. If only people would see this reality, we would save a great deal on abortions, smoking, drugs, alcohol, and all that. The main thing is, you CAN NOT find true acceptance in earthly things. Not even a husband or wife can fill that void. God gave us that ultimate desire, so that we may find it in Him.

| Through God's EyesI know I haven't updated here in a while. But oh well. I have something I want to share, so I'm going to share it.
I don't know how most ppl see other ppl. But for me, I might be walking down the street, getting the mail, being in church or other events were there's people, and (I guess you could call it this) I see them through God's eyes. I look at someone who dresses really skanky (very rarely, and definitely not at church) and instead of the usual, "Oh, look at that slut. She doesn't know what she's thinking." I usually think, "I wonder why she feels she needs to present her body in that fashion. Did her father run out on her? Did something horrible happen? Has anyone told her about Jesus?" Now, I'm not the type to walk up to ppl and tell them a word from God or something like that. But, I feel I shouldn't judge people. People you know and don't know. What I have been thinking recently, and this has kinda become my motto, and it is "There is usually a reason someone is the way they are." What? Well, I won't always know. But what I do know is there's a cycle in our society, and that is a couple have a kid, they treat it bad (or something bad happens to it during the course of their life), kid grows up and has a kid of their own, does the same thing their parent (or other family, friend, or accquentance) did. And it keeps going on and on and on. Sad, but true. We live in a society that does not embrace God and His Son. The result is messed up lives, not bad people. People will be bad, I assure you they will. But, I believe, there is always a reason that is. We don't know their past. Maybe we do. If we do, then we should probably not judge them so harshly. But, I just wanted to say this, especially to anyone who feels they are judgemental. I'm not pointing fingers, I don't even know if anyone struggles with this. But this has been on my heart. People, even the bad ones, need Jesus, not judgment. Leave the judgment to God. We are called to love one another, even our enemies. This has just been on my heart the last couple of months.

| Friends Fair ResultsI was curious on how my friends from art class did at the fair, I looked on the State Fair's website to see how they placed. I'm happy to announce all of them placed first in their category! If you are interested and want to see their work along with mine, here are their names and category they were in. Mercy place first in Junior Portrait pencil. It's a little girl holding some lettuce, done in colored pencil. Sarah placed first in Adult Any Media ink. It's a front door done in ink. Charity place first and won Best of Show in Juniors for Junior Any Media pastel. It is her younger sister in a corn field. It's pretty big, so you can't miss it. And, you may remember, I won second place in this same media. I was trumped by my friend. I'm really happy for her. I can't believe she won best of show! My other picture won under Junior Animal/Bird Pastel. Owls! Don't miss out on the fair! Have a great time! I know I will. | | |
| Fair ResultsI hope you all are planning to read the article. Cause if you don't, I'll strangle you. Haha, just kidding. Well, I got the results from the fair today. Which is strange, because they said they would send it Sep. 2. Oh well. So, I got first place for the Owls, and second for the street scene. Yay! They will both be on display at the fair this year. Erin and I decided to get a facebook, so I'm going to make one after writing this. The main reason we got a Xanga in the first place was to keep up with everyone, but you left us for Facebook. So, we follow! | | |
